Heavy Male Blue Crabs

"The crabs arrived partly frozen and majority only had one claw but they did give me 13 vice 12. I learned you had to soak crabs when reheating or they were dry and hard to remove meat. One crab was not in no way a heavy. Very low on meat. Taste was good but a noticeable odor I could not figure out. I can buy crabs year-round here in central Florida, large live male or female for about $50 a dozen. If you reside away from the coast it is worth giving them a try but I have better options."

"This is our second order from them, different from the first one, this order has nearly half of the crabs are almost empty shells without much meet. And the half bushel from first order is total 41 crabs, this order only 31 in total. I understand weight and size discrepancies, but should not be this great. I should not paying $300 for a foam box of empty shells. Would prefer a refund or the company make it up"

My crabs were lovely, large,

"My crabs were lovely, large, and very full of meat. I was delighted to see that my ½-dozen was actually 8 crabs. Huge claws and just wet enough to get most of the meat out with leg pulls. I realize I should have paid for expedited shipping. They were packed professionally and very well but the three-day transport was too long and in Texas heat, the box was not as cool as it should have been. As a result, I think, my crabs were not as sweet as I expected. Not an issue with the crabs or the preparation, just a lesson for me to suck it up and pay for overnight delivery."

"I ordered 7 heavy male blue crabs and I only received 1, the rest was regular size crabs and they were all light. I would not ordered from here ever again!! I am sooo disappointed"

"I was born and raised in Maryland eating Large or Jumbo crabs at least once a week. I relocated to Lynchburg, Virginia in 2008 and had nothing but terrible Crab situations since then. Recently, I have tried online MD Blue crab purchases and have been disappointed. After trying 3 other online sites, Chesapeake Crab Connection finally delivered Extra large, Meaty crabs that were worth the cost."

"My husband and I took a chance and placed an order, and we're glad we did. The crabs are excellent. There's a crab house 4 blocks from us and the crabs are really good, but there always a long line. Ordering from Chesapeake helps us skip the line and there's no long wait because the delivery can be as quick as overnight. Take a chance like we did and I PROMISE, you will thoroughly enjoy these crabs UNLESS you don't like heavy, meaty, tender, properly cooked crabs. We just placed an order for us but invited a couple friends over to watch Sunday football so we're ordering some for them."
